Each site has a system of a rating of the companies. Sometimes the rating and the company status is increased automatically, depending on its activity, time of registration, recalls of clients, quantities of the goods, etc. And sometimes to increase a rating it is possible having paid the certain sum to the founder of a site.

Как я уже говорил, концепция сайтов www.alibaba.com, www.made-in-china.com, www.globalsources.com принципиально не отличается: компания-производитель регистрируется там, указывает свои контактные данные и размещает информацию о своих товарах (картинка и подробное описание). В китайской версии Alibaba.com компания может также указать цены на свои товары (об этом чуть ниже).
У каждого сайта есть своя система рейтинга компаний. Чем выше рейтинг, тем больше товаров компании будет доступно в поиске, тем выше они будут в списке результатов, тем вероятнее потенциальный клиент их заметит. Иногда рейтинг и статус компании повышается автоматически, в зависимости от ее активности, времени регистрации, отзывов клиентов, количества товаров и др. А иногда повысить рейтинг можно заплатив определенную сумму создателю сайта.
Как бы то ни было, высокое положение в рейтинговой системе сайта говорит о серьезных намерениях компании, о ее желании получить больше клиентов. И наоборот, низкие рейтинги свидетельствуют о нежелании компании принимать участие в интернет-маркетинге.

Итак, небольшой сравнительный анализ самых популярных интернет-каталогов:

плюсы:
очень большое количество зарегистрированных компаний со всего мира;
активность всех участников сайта;
RSS ленты новых товаров;
большое количество справочной информации;
форум, на котором можно задать вопрос и получить вразумительный ответ.
минусы:
очень большое количество компаний и товаров зачастую сбивает с толку;
большое количество устаревших товаров или товаров без описания и с плохими фотографиями;
большое количество спама – после регистрации ваш почтовый ящик будет полон предложениями купить mp3 плеер или фирменные кроссовки по дешевке.

плюсы:
на сайте представлены только китайские компании;
есть возможность вести поиск компаний по провинции;
при поиске по ключевому слову, можно выбрать, из какой категории показывать товары;
при просмотре товара можно увидеть, кем является компания, опубликовавшая товар: Manufacturer (производитель) или Supplier (поставщик) (спорное преимущество, так как любая компания может указать при регистрации, что она производитель, никто этого не проверяет).
минусы:
при поиске товаров, щелчок мышки на интересующем товаре открывает не подробное описание товара, а страничку компании, опубликовавшей этот товар;
заметно меньшее количество товаров и компаний, чем на Алибабе;
довольно скудная информационная составляющая сайта.

GlobalSources.com
полюсы:
гибкая система поиска позволяет найти более подходящие товары;
названия категорий товаров интуитивно более понятны, чем на Алибабе;
в контактных данных можно увидеть e-mail производителя товара;
возможность использовать инструмент “compare all suppliers” (сравнить всех производителей).
минусы:
число товаров и зарегистрированных компаний в разы меньше, чем на Алибабе;
большое количество рекламы в самых неожиданных местах;
страницы грузятся заметно медленнее, чем Made-in-China.com или Alibaba.com (вероятно, из-за территориальных особенностей интернет-каналов Владивостока, возможно в других регионах России отличия в скорости загрузки не столь значительны);
непонятная система рейтинга компаний-производителей.

Резюмируя этот небольшой анализ можно сказать, что Alibaba.com является бесспорным лидером среди b2b сайтов, на которых представлены производители Китая. Кстати, недавно (в августе 2007 г) у сайта появился новый дизайн, улучшилась система категорий, добавились некоторые поисковые функции.
